Dog Training

A trained dog is a happy and secure dog and an owner with a trained dog is a happy owner. The training I provide is based on positive reinforcement.

Dog Walking

My number one rule is that I treat all my clients’ dogs as if they were my own! Your dog will always feel special and safe with me and love the routine of their regular walks.

What They Say

“We absolutely adore Jess (as does our boisterous springer spaniel, Alfie). We started working with her when Alfie was just a puppy, and we were really struggling with things like toilet training, lead walking, recall, etc. She was so knowledgeable and instantly made us feel that we had an expert partner who we could trust to help us navigate Alfie’s early months. Since then, she has consistently been a resource on all things dog and a walker for our energetic pup. She cares so deeply about her clients and truly feels like a friend at this point. We are constantly giving out her name and number to people in the park who can’t believe how well trained our dog is. In short, we highly recommend Jess!”

Ally

Typically, the manner in which we gauge Jake, our rescue dog’s relationship with people with whom he has regular contact, is in his immediate response on first seeing them.

When Jessica arrives at our house, he instantly rushes up to her, jumping up and down with excitement, whereas with most other dog walkers he is initially shy and wary. Jess is consistently reliable and never overbooks so you know your dog is in good hands. I can relax knowing Jake is in good hands!

Some Dog-Walkers do the job to make an income; with Jess, it is undoubtedly a vocation and not a merely a means to earn a living.

Faqs

How many dogs do you walk?
I walk a maximum of 4 dogs at a time. This is to ensure that each dog is provided the due care and attention they need.
Are you insured?
Yes, I am fully insured for…..
How do I pay?
Invoices will be sent out once a month and I accept BACS or cash. All payments must be received within 14 working days of the invoice date.
Are dogs walked off the lead?
Yes, provided I have been given permission by the owner and the dog has reliable recall.
Will you walk a bitch while she is in season?
No I do not walk bitches in season as this can cause the other dogs to become over excited.
Do you walk un-neutered males?
I am happy to take full males, however, they will remain on lead regardless of their recall. This is for the safety of themselves and the rest of the pack as some dogs do not take well to full males. I do accept chemically castrated males and am happy to let them off lead provided their have sufficient recall.
How do you collect my dog from my property?
Pick up and drop off is included in the walks and, with your authorisation, I would use a key provided if nobody is at home. Please always inform me of any special requirements, e.g. if the dog has a specific room of their own or if they have use of the whole house.
What Is Your Cancellation Policy?
I request 24 hours’ notice so that no charges will apply. I do understand that in some unforeseen circumstance this may not be possible so each case will be judged on merit.
Do you walk in all weather?
You will find me out with the dogs in all weather conditions provided that it is not dangerous for the dogs.
